ROM TIME TO TIME, CFCP, Inc. publishes
special collections of prize-winning poems. These
books are announced through blog postings,
Facebook, and advertised in other venues,
including this web site.
CFCP long
provided a newsletter for its membership, in order
to help them stay informed of activities and
events occurring within the CFCP community and the
state. Beginning in February, 2003, a new title
and format for the newsletter was introduced.
Called the Chaparral Updrafts, it was
presented in a typical magazine-style size and
layout, published nine times a year. You may
download PDF copies
of a few years' worth of these issues here. The
newsletter is no longer being published, but there
is talk of including a blog with the web site to
take its place.
There have been
other publications, as well: each year two
booklets of winning poems, one from the adult
contest and one from the student contest, were
produced as part of the Convention and included in
the Registration Packet. They were not offered for
sale to the general public.
CFCP is currently
offering Better to
Laugh, a collection of humorous poetry
previously published by CFCP in one of its annual
contest-winning publications, compiled and edited
by Katharine Wilson, long-time archivist for the
